Howdy! Thanks for checking in for Day 7 of my #31daysofpumpkins craftstravaganza! Now that my computer is back and working at optimum performance, I can finally finish posting all the awesome pumpkins I created during the month of October using only inexpensive Dollar Store and craft store finds!

I know it seems a touch silly to do this so long after the fact, but I worked HARD on those suckers! And my computer going toes up wasn’t my fault… so, I refuse to let being a little late stop me from posting at all!

That being said, thanks for being here and being a part of this. I appreciate you taking part in my crafting journey! If you missed the first 6 days, the links for them are down below. Please check them out and then follow me on FBTwitterPinterestGoogle+, or via email to make sure you don’t miss a single one of the 31 days! It’s craftastic!

I enjoyed this pumpkin because it was really simple to pull off, but looks so elegant when sitting on a table in my home. I knew I wanted to make an ‘upscale’ looking pumpkin, and when I saw these black rhinstone swirls at Michael’s, I couldn’t resist!

Here’s a tutorial if you need a helping hand!

Day 7: Blingy Swirls Covered

As you can guess, grab your fabulessly frugal Dollar Tree foam pumpkin.

Give it several coats of white acrylic paint (or cream)- whatever floats your boat.

Let it dry for a few hours, at least. A few days is better.

{The longer your paint can cure, the longer your swirls will stick!}

Grab your blingy swirls and get to stickin’!

I wanted some smaller swirls in areas, so I  cut some of my larger swoops down in order to place smaller pieces here and there.

Cover your stem however you choose. I liked the look of tiny little swirls all over it, so that’s what I did!

Step back and admire your gorgeous handiwork!

I think I utlimately want to seal mine with a coat of gloss spray shellac, but the weather took a CRAZY turn here in Missouri and nothing in the world could convince me to go out in that wind to spray paint a pumpkin! :D

Check back in tomorrow to see what other cool pumpkin idea(s) I’ve managed to dream up. We’ll get to 31 soon enough!

Till then….
